چکیده

The area of oil palm plantations in Indonesia continues to increase, along with that, Palm oil mill also increases. Each produces liquid waste (LWPOF) large numbers that can be utilized. aim this research was study the main effect LWPOF application and number biopores their interactions on micro nutrient content growth. conducted at Faculty Agriculture, Riau University from June December 2019 form experiments arranged according a completely randomized factorial design. first factor is dose which consists 3 levels (7,5 liters, 10 12,5 liters) second amount consisting (2, 4, 6), repeated times there were experimental plants, so 81 units plants obtained. parameters observed consisted leaf content, plant height fronds, midrib width, thickness fronds. From experiment, known 7,5 liters increases copper, height, number, width while 2 6 manganese content. planting followed by leaves midribs plants.

Physiological features and growth characters of oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq

Optimum irrigation is very important for nursery stock management of F1-hybrid oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.), constituting a major production cost. Generally, over watering of nursery stock can be a cause of loss of productivity. The aim of this study was to investigate the physiological and biochemical responses of oil palm nursery stock to reduced soil water content (SWC) and during the ...

Acute oral toxicity and brine shrimp lethality of Elaeis guineensis Jacq., (oil palm leaf) methanol extract.

Elaeis guineensis (Arecaceae) is widely used in West African traditional medicine for treating various ailments. An evaluation on the toxicity of extracts of this plant is crucial to support the therapeutic claims. The acute oral toxicity and brine shrimp lethality of a methanolic extract of this plant was tested. Oral administration of crude extract at the highest dose of 5,000 mg/kg resulted ...

Protein Profiling and Histone Deacetylation Activities in Somaclonal Variants of Oil Palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.)

Mantled fruits as a result of somaclonal variation are often observed from the oil palm plantlets regenerated via tissue culture. The mantling of fruits with finger-like and thick outer coating phenotypes significantly reduces the seed size and oil content, posing a threat to oil palm planters, and may jeopardize the economic growth of countries that depend particularly on oil palm plantation. ...

Induction and characterization of oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) pro-embryogenic masses.

Oil palm is one of the most economically valuable oil seed plants, but the expansion of plantations has been limited by availability of seedlings, as the conventional propagation is through seeds, which have low germination rates. One possible solution for the large-scale production is the use of somatic embryogenesis. The aim of this study was evaluate the effects auxins 2,4-D and picloram on ...

Circadian control of isoprene emissions from oil palm (Elaeis guineensis).

The emission of isoprene from the biosphere to the atmosphere has a profound effect on the Earth's atmospheric system. Until now, it has been assumed that the primary short-term controls on isoprene emission are photosynthetically active radiation and temperature. Here we show that isoprene emissions from a tropical tree (oil palm, Elaeis guineensis) are under strong circadian control, and that...
